Beer Specialty Soaps

I have done hundreds of festivals and events around the state of Florida and even a few outside of Florida. I always get the same reactions when I set out my beer soaps. …. Beer soap? Is it really made with real beer? Yes, it is made with real beer. Beer soap has no alcohol in it once the soap making process is complete. Our history shows that women have used beer to reduce the risk of skin conditions and enhance the appearance of their skin for thousands of years.

BENEFITS OF BEER SOAP

Beer soap is a phenomenal soap once the beer is in the soap! The feeling is amazing. It has a smooth, creamy lather that is rich and bubbly. The lather is also thick and consistent enough to make it an excellent shaving soap. The scent is unique with light undertones of the beer combined with your favorite fragrance.

It is made primarily of
hops, brewer's yeast, and malts such as barley, wheat, oats, rye, corn, and/or rice. These ingredients provide nutrients that will aid in moisturizing, soothing, and cleansing the skin. With the natural oils in soap combined with these nutrients, beer soap will help in keeping a youthful complexion.

The
brewer's yeast in beer contains riboflavin (B2), panthothenic acid (B5), biotin (B7), and lots of B vitamins. Brewer’s yeast acts as an anti-bacterial agent that helps combat acne and helps maintain a balanced pH level. The Panthothenic acid and B vitamins make the skin feel smooth, supple, and moisturized.

Hops slow the aging process by affecting the production of neopterin and tryptophan which triggers inflammation. Hops are also known to contain skin-softening amino acids, which can help to soothe irritated skin. This is especially beneficial for those with skin conditions. Beer soap can be an excellent addition to your skin care regime for those with skin sensitivities.

Beer soap is also known to be an excellent soap for hair. Soaps made with beer are often used as a multipurpose soap using it to wash the body, the hair, and for shaving. Beer is made from malt and hops, which contain proteins, sugars, and B vitamins that are known to repair damaged hair, add body and volume, make hair shiny by tightening the hair cuticles, and promote hair growth.
